Hello there! I’m Selene, a designer of many mediums based in Washington DC. By day, I am a freelance designer and educator.

With design, I have worked with small businesses, community development, art galleries, scientists and so many more people.
I bring empathy, curiosity, optimism, and enthusiasm to the details of every project I work on -  creating meaningful human experiences.

When I am not designing, I am usually teaching as an adjunct professor and leading workshops on alternative photography, graphic design, letterpress, papermaking, printmaking, and screen printing. I love helping people learn how things are made and encouraging a spark of creativity in my students.

In my spare time, I investigate time, process, and materials that explore the boundaries of photographic materials in the darkroom, more specifically, what can happen on a sheet of paper. I also enjoy cooking.
